Paper Castles

This second grade lesson incorporated architecture, art history, sculpture, and collage.  Students viewed a variety of castles and learned how and why castles were built.  They  learned how to roll cylinders and join paper with glue and slits.  Details were added with cut paper.

Frosty Friends

First graders used big brushes and thick white tempera to paint snowbanks and snowmen.  Snowflakes were dabbed on with q tips.  Markers, paper scraps, buttons and poms were used to complete the snow people.
